Apriori Bio, a Flagship Pioneering company focused on developing superior prospective vaccines, today announced it has been selected as an initial awardee under Flagship Pioneering's first-of-its-kind contract with the Department of War, awarded through the ONTARGET program. The US Government funding will support the use of Octavia™, Apriori’s biology-enabled AI platform for the design of variant-resilient vaccines, for the rapid development of one or more stable, cross-protective medical countermeasure candidates.

The award of up to $47 million to Flagship Pioneering will be executed over a five-year period. Apriori has been selected as one of two initial awardees.
