<p>Noubar Afeyan is founder and CEO of Flagship Pioneering, a company that advances groundbreaking science to invent and build first-in-category bioplatform companies to transform human health and sustainability. An entrepreneur and biochemical engineer, Noubar holds more than 100 patents and has co-founded more than 80 life science and technology startups during his 35-year career. He is also co-founder and chairman of the board of Moderna, the pioneering company of mRNA medicines which developed and supplied novel vaccine technology to address the global COVID-19 pandemic.</p><p>Noubar has been a lecturer at Harvard Business School and senior lecturer at MIT where he taught technology-entrepreneurship and innovation for more than two decades. A passionate advocate of the contributions of immigrants to economic and scientific progress, Noubar is the co-founder of the Aurora Prize for Awakening Humanity and a number of other philanthropic projects focused on Armenia.</p>
